What are your memories of studying at the ESMA?
Loraine RODRIGUEZ. I have great memories of studying at the ESMA regarding the quality of the courses and the atmosphere.
Where the teaching was concerned, I particularly liked the literary subjects like Art History and French. But the one thing I'll always remember of my two years at the ESMA is of course, the design workshops. That's where the most important part of my training took place. I studied theory and practiced drawing up plans, making models and handling materials. But above all the ESMA taught me a way of thinking. And the notion of concept is the tool I use the most today in my job.

You were talking earlier about the atmosphere in the school...
L. R. The atmosphere in the school was generally pretty amazing, especially in my class. Despite our differences, we were brought together by our school and professional projects. I miss my friends from the workshops...

What role did the ESMA play in you finding a job?
L. R. I think my employer was favourably impressed by my diploma and the school's reputation. I have to say also that thanks to my training I was immediately competent in my work, so I had no difficulty finding a job.

How do you rate the training that Loraine did?
Mr NIDDEGER. I think that she has been extremely well prepared to enter the employment field and I think she has a very good grasp of her subject especially in drawing. She only started recently but I'm happy with her work and her initiative.

Would you contact the ESMA again if you were looking for staff?
Mr N.  Most certainly! I'm very happy with Loraine, she has a permanent contract with us (CDI), so obviously, I'd take on other students with the same training...

In a few words, what do you expect from your employees?
Mr N.  Most especially I like them to show initiative and integrate into company life. Where that is concerned I think the ESMA prepares its students very well for the realities of the professional work situation. They know how to communicate and they are friendly. Qualities I appreciate a lot at work.
