The photographer is someone whose passion is the picture, the moment. His competence and sensitivity exist to serve his camera lense. Creative, with a great sense of aesthetics and observation, he seizes the moment, captures the instant, with a technical and artistic overview of the people, objects and scenery he photographs, under constantly changing angles. With the evolution of digital technology, photographers have had to familiarise themselves with computer tools and software and the art of editing and retouching images. Photography is a profession which requires rigour. It demands inspiration and a surgical-like precision simultaneously. Talent and meticulousness are essential qualities for a good photographer!

Guillaume HORCAJUELO, aged 24, is an ESMA BTS Photography graduate. He currently works as a photographic reporter for the IP3 Press agency. He talks of his studies at the ESMA and his first job.



Rémi OCHLIK co-founded the IP3 Press agency in 2005. Even though he is very young, Guillaume HORCAJUELO's employer won an award in 2003 in the Perpignan festival "Visa pour l'image" for a documentary film about the fall of Aristide in Haiti. This young company director known as ''the child prodigy of photo reporting'' by his peers, explains why he chose to employ a photography graduate from the ESMA as a photo reporter.
